South Carolina Representative Calls President A Liar


It is unfortunate that Congressman Joe Wilson, (R-SC) behaved in such a disrespectful manner during the President of the United States' address to the joint houses of Congress. I commend President Obama for keeping his cool and I believe that Representative Wilson did the right thing by apologizing forthwith.

Many comments have been made regarding respecting the Office of the President... however, I would like to suggest that our elected leaders display common decency and respect toward each other. A real person, President Barack H. Obama, is currently serving in the highest office in the land, and is the leader of the free world. He deserves respect–– as a man first––and then because of the title and office he holds. People can say what they like but the fact remains that he is, and will be our President for the next several years.

So I recommend: Enough with the red herrings and ice cream covered hypocrisy - let's be real. It is no secret that some Americans are still abhorred at the fact that we have a President of Color. Well, to them I say: GET OVER IT. This is America! A melting pot of the world.

The Declaration of Independence states:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. 4-JULY-1776"


I believe that a fundamental shift is necessary in America. We must take a bath in Truth and realize that the word ALL means ALL.
